Data comes first

Every page is built on public data: government wage and employment statistics, federal education data, and the published rules of state licensing boards. Written text explains what the data shows. Each table and chart carries a line naming its source and date, and the data methodology page describes every source.

How text is written and checked

Written sections are drafted by AI language models. Each profession starts with a research file assembled from its sources (government statistics, board and registry rules, program lists, certification bodies) and a brief for every page. A model drafts each page from that material; a second pass removes wording that breaks the site's style rules; and an automated check compares every number in the text with the source tables and rejects any draft that contains a figure the tables do not hold. A further automated review reads all of a profession's pages together for contradictions and gaps.

A person at Medical Career Center sets the sources, briefs, and style rules, reviews each new page template and a sample of pages before a profession is published, and handles every correction. Not every page is read by a person before it goes live, which is why the checks above run on every page.

Bylines

Pages are credited to Medical Career Center rather than to named writers, because no single person writes them. The site does not present AI-drafted text as the work of a named expert.

What the site does not do

The site does not rank schools by quality or endorse any school, employer, exam-prep product, or board. Program lists are ordered by the data they come from, such as the number of 2024 graduates. Information on the site is general and does not replace advice from a state board, school, or employer; licensing decisions are made by the boards.

Dates and updates

Every page shows the date of the data it uses. When a source publishes new data, the figures on the site are replaced, and text that describes those figures is rewritten against the new tables.

Corrections

To report an error, email [email protected] with the page address, the figure or statement in question, and the source you are comparing it with. Every report is checked against the source. Confirmed errors are corrected on the page, the page's date is updated, and if the same error appears on other pages, those are corrected too.
